R. Kelly seems to be moving on from his beef with Trey Songz. In an interview with MTV News, the R&B singer explained that there is no place for beefing in R&B and the singers within the genre should all just let it go.

"I feel there's a lot of talented guys out there when it comes to R&B, and what I urge guys out there to do, that's coming up under me, [aiming for] longevity, is to stay away from beef," the icon told MTV News. "Stay away from beef, stay true and respectful to music and to the ones that inspired you to do what you do."

R. Kelly also dismissed his own feud with Trey Songz, claiming that he's more interested in leaving that type of drama for the hip-hop community. "You don't want R&B singers to get into beef. Leave that to the rappers, let them do that — R&B, be classy," he explained. "That's for the ladies and having babies and having fun."

The original disagreement between Kelly and Songz erupted when R. Kelly remixed Songz's hit "Trapped in the Closet." Songz then began calling out Kelly in interviews for using Auto-Tune and not being original.
