Mumford & Sons debuted the studio version of their new single, "I Will Wait," on BBC's Radio 1 earlier this week. The song comes from the band's upcoming album, Babel.

"It's the worst track on the record - we just thought we'd get it out," Ben Lovett of the band joked with radio host Huw Stephens. "It's only up from here!"

Fans of the band may have caught a live version of "I Will Wait" if they've seen them on their recent tour. The U.K. group has also shared a number of other Babel tracks, including "Lover's Eyes" and "Ghosts That We Knew."

Babel, which is the follow-up to the quartet's debut album Sigh No More, will be released on September 24. The producer from their first album, Markus Dravs, returned to work with the band the second time around.

The band is currently traveling across North America on its 'Gentlemen Of The Road' tour and played a series of large U.K. shows last month.
