Toby Keith discussed his recent gall bladder surgery last week. The country star sat down with radio hosts during the grand opening of his newest I Love This Bar and Grill, in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.
Keith said of the surgery that the "pain wasn't bad" and the "surgery wasn't anything." In fact, while Keith had the surgery on a Monday, he was OK to resume touring by Friday night. The Live in Overdrive tour then hit stops in Canada, Nevada and California.
On Saturday, Mother Nature would intervene at Keith's concert in Canada's Big Valley Jamboree. Lightning, thunder, rain and hailstorms began pouring down in the middle of Toby's set. "(It) wiped the stage out about halfway through the show," said Toby. Keith even tweeted a spectacular picture of lightning flashing in the sky behind the concert grounds.
The band was forced to take an hour-long break during the storm, but quickly resumed as the weather lightened up. The Live in Overdrive tour next visits Holmdel, N.J., this Friday (August 17).
