The recently engaged couple, Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger decided to get engaged on Canada day.
"We think it's very cool that our anniversary will always be on Canada Day," Kroeger told People magazine. "We can't wait to start our life together."
In that interview Kroeger said that he doesn't care what people think about his relationship with Lavigne:
"I try not to take too much interest in the world's opinion of our relationship," Kroeger said. "I just know the both of us are very happy."
However, before they get married the frontman for Nickelback will be going on tour with Daughtry. An invitation has been extended Lavigne's way if she chooses to come.
