Akon has reportedly claimed responsibility for two sons born in the early 2000's out of wedlock.
The music star has made preparations to get legal custody of the two. In October of 2009 it was reported that Akon had neglected some child support payments, however it was also reported that Akon never shunned his two young boys, and he is now ready to take legal responsibility.
"I think kids are a blessing," Akon told The New York Daily News on Wednesday.
"[To set the record straight], I never ran away from my responsibilities and I never plan to. Everything I am doing now is for [my other five kids] anyway, so the more kids I can have, the better. I just love them."
