European Economics Preview: UK Retail Sales Data Due


Retail sales data from the UK is due on Thursday, headlining a light day for the European economic news.

At 2.45 am ET, France ILO jobless data is due. The unemployment rate is forecast to remain unchanged at 10 percent in the first quarter.

At 3.00 am ET, the Turkish Statistical Institute publishes consumer sentiment survey results. The consumer confidence index is forecast to fall to 70.8 in May from 71.3 in April.

At 4.30 am ET, the Office for National Statistics publishes UK retail sales data for April. Sales are forecast to grow 1.1 percent on month, reversing a 1.8 percent fall in March.
