Polaris Industries Inc. (PII) reported third quarter EPS of $0.94 Thursday morning, which declined from the $1.13 posted last year, but exceeded the consensus estimate of $0.85. The company expects to report fourth quarter EPS of $1.19 to $1.25 and full year EPS of $2.92 to $2.98. The consensus estimates are for EPS of $1.13 and $2.77 respectively. Polaris Industries gapped up Thursday and climbed steadily during the first 45 minutes of trade. Shares rose further around midday and closed higher by $4.71 at $48.71 on strong volume. The stock has been gaining ground for the last week and a half and finished at a new high for the year.
