Kroger Co. (KR) announced that it has appointed Kathleen Barclay as the company's senior vice president, human resources, effective January 2010. In her new role, Barclay will be responsible for leading all aspects of human resources for the nation's largest traditional grocery retailer. Kroger has more than 326 thousand associates.
Barclay will report to Kroger's chairman and chief executive officer, David Dillon, and serve as a member of the company's executive leadership team.
Barclay joins Kroger after heading global human resources for General Motors Corp. for more than ten years.
