True Religion Apparel (TRLG) reported third quarter EPS of $0.58 after the bell Tuesday, down from the $0.64 posted in the prior year period. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $0.59. The company now expects to report full year 2009 EPS between $1.82 and $1.86, which is below the consensus estimate of $1.88. True Religion Apparel gapped down sharply Wednesday and fell in early trade. Shares declined further in the final hour of trade and closed lower by $6.49 at $20.07 on the highest volume of the year. The stock closed testing support, trading at nearly a 4-month low.
