Netease.com Inc. (NTES) reported net profit of RMB393.8 million or US$57.7 million for the third quarter, compared to RMB313.3 million or US$45.9 million in the third quarter of 2008. Earnings per ADS were RMB3.02 or US$0.44, compared to RMB2.42 in the year-ago quarter.
Total revenues for the third quarter were RMB879.4 million or US$128.8 million, up from RMB806.6 million or US$118.2 million in the prior year quarter.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of US$0.49 per ADS on revenue of US$138.65 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
