Hartford Financial Services Group Appoints Christopher Magee As Managing Director, International Financial Products Division - Quick Facts

Thursday, Hartford Financial Services Group Inc. (HIG) appointed Christopher Magee as managing director of its Hartford Financial Products International Ltd. subsidiary, which underwrites corporate management liability insurance for multi-national commercial entities and financial institutions. He succeeds Stephen Minihan, who is retiring from The Hartford after nearly 20 years of service.

In this position, Magee will oversee all underwriting, administrative, finance, legal and regulatory functions of the operation. He joined The Hartford in 2003 and has served as chief underwriting officer for HFPI since the London office opened in 2007.

Prior to joining The Hartford, Magee served in senior regional underwriting positions with both Kemper and Royal & SunAlliance in the U.S. He began his insurance career with Chubb & Son, where he served in various roles of increasing responsibility in underwriting, management and business development.
