Beyoncé And Eminem Top Billboard Artists Of Decade

Billboard magazine has crowned Beyoncé and Eminem the top female and male artists of the decade, based on their activity within the magazine's two main charts, the Billboard 200 albums chart and the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart.

The official time span measured was from December 4, 1999, to November 28, 2009.

Beyoncé earned the top female artist of the decade title by snagging 23 Hot 100 singles, including five number ones. The R&B/pop diva also saw three of her albums land at the number one spot on the top 200 albums chart.

Billboard declared Eminem the artist of the decade and top male artist of the decade. All five of Eminem's albums reached the number one spot of the Billboard 200, while 28 of the rapper's songs made it onto the Hot 100 songs chart.

On the Hot 100 Songwriters decade-end tally, Timbaland finished in the number one spot, with 63 appearances on the chart. Pharrell Williams came in at number two.
