Ludacris has postponed his scheduled performance at the George M. Sullivan Arena in Anchorage, Alaska, on Friday, pushing the show back to Saturday due to a "family emergency."

"While we hate to disappoint fans, this change was necessary to accommodate a family emergency," concert promoter SMG said in a statement. "Rest assured that his performance will be worth the one-day wait."

Tickets purchased for the performance on Friday will be honored on Saturday.

Ludacris is the highest-selling Southern hip-hop solo artist of all time, with more 17 million records sold in the U.S. and 24 million sold worldwide. He is currently prepping for the release of Ludaversal, the follow up to his 2008 album, Theater of the Mind.
