Toledo Mining Corporation plc (TMC.L) announced the appointment of Ken Stein as Chief Operating Officer, effective 1 April 2010. Based in Manila, Stein will be responsible for managing Toledo's assets in the Philippines and will report directly to the Chairman, Reg Eccles.
Ken Stein joins Toledo from European Nickel PLC where he has been responsible for managing European Nickel's participation in the Acoje heap leach nickel project in the Philippines. Prior to joining European Nickel, he held a variety of senior positions at BHP Billiton.
