Ashley Charles, an Englishman, will stand trial for the alleged murder of Phillip Sherriff, which occurred at the Pulse nightclub in London, where Jessie J had performed earlier in the evening.
It is alleged that Charles attacked Sherriff with a bottle shortly after J's performance. Sherriff was in the hospital for four days with wounds from the attack from which he finally expired on April 8.
Charles, who pled not-guilty, was remanded into custody and will go on trial on October 29.
Several British stars were on hand at the Blackberry sponsored event and hit Twitter afterward to give their accounts.
Big Brother star Bobby Sabel tweeted: "Incident at the Jessie j / blackberry party. We're all stuck in here! I just want to get in my cab!"
"Carnage! Literally the whole crowd is stampeding against the police!," he would later add.
