Beyoncé has thrown her weight behind Barack Obama's 2012 re-election bid, shooting a video of her reading a letter to first lady, Michelle Obama.
The singer calls Obama "the ultimate example of a truly strong African American woman," adding that "every time I see her, she inspires me, she empowers me, she encourages me."
Bey first posted the letter to her Tumblr page in April, but has now added a visual component to it.
"She is a caring mother, she's a loving wife, while at the same time, she is the First Lady. No matter the pressure, and the stress of being under the microscope, she's humble, loving, and sincere."
The feeling is mutual, as Michelle took her daughters to Bey's concert in May, noting afterwards that she wouldn't mind trading places with the singer.
