Blue Nile Inc. (NILE) Rose To A 6-Week High Following Q2 Report

Blue Nile Inc. (NILE) reported second quarter EPS of $0.11 after the bell Thursday, down from $0.19 in the prior year period. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $0.07. The company expects to report third quarter EPS of $0.10 to $0.14 and between $0.70 and $0.85 for the full year. The consensus estimates are for EPS of $0.17 and $0.67.

Blue Nile gapped open sharply higher Friday, but traded in a narrow range throughout the session. The stock closed up by 8.25 at $32.00, with volume at over a 5-month high. Blue Nile rose to a month and a half high and re-crossed its 50-day moving average.
