Beyonce and Jay-Z hauled in $4 million for President Barack Obama at a pricy fundraiser held in New York City earlier this week.
"I can't tell you how proud we are to host tonight's event with President Obama," said Beyoncé, who was sporting long locks and a red cocktail dress. "We believe in his vision."
Obama was eager to praise his hosts in return, saying that "Beyoncé couldn't be a better role model for our daughters because she carries herself with such class and poise and has so much talent."
According to the Washington Post, a ticket to get into the event at Jigga's 40/40 club, which hosted the event, cost attendees $40,000 apiece. That means that 100 individuals paid to raise the $4 million figure.
