Cerner Corp. (CERN) reported third quarter adjusted EPS of $0.60 after the close Thursday, up from $0.48 in the prior year period. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $0.59. Full year adjusted EPS is now expected to be between $2.34 and $2.36, compared to prior guidance of $2.32 to $2.36.
Cerner gapped up sharply Friday morning, but was range-bound for the majority of the session. The stock ended the day with a gain of 8.90 at $77.37 on strong volume. Cerner jumped to nearly a 3-week high and re-crossed both its 50 and 200-day moving averages.
