State Street Q4 Profit Rises - Quick Facts

State Street Corporation (STT) reported that its fourth-quarter net income available to shareholders increased to $468 million or $1.00 per share from $371 million or $0.76 last year. On an operating basis, profit per share was $1.11; up 19% from $0.93 prior year.

On average, 22 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report profit per share of $1.00 for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude speical items.

On an operating basis, net income to shareholders was $521 million compared to $454 million last year. Revenue was $2.45 billion; an increase of 6% from prior year. Analysts expected revenue of $2.36 billion for the quarter.

The company said its fourth-quarter results reflect continued resilience across its asset servicing and asset management businesses.
