Denmark's consumer confidence improved in January after weakening in the previous month, data released by Statistics Denmark showed Wednesday.
The consumer confidence index increased to -2.7 in January from -4.7 in December. In November, the reading was -1.3.
Danish households were more optimistic about their personal finances in the next twelve months, with the relevant sub-indicator rising to 7.3 from 5.8 in November. At the same time, the measure of consumers' views of their current financial situation moved up to -2 from -5.7.
Households were, meanwhile, less optimistic about Denmark's future economic situation in January. The corresponding indicator dropped to 3.3 from 5.3 in the previous month.
The general perception of the present economic situation remained downbeat, and was broadly unchanged from the previous month.
