A preschool teacher in California was arrested Tuesday after she allegedly mixed a sleeping aid in the children's drinks.
A witness told police they saw 59-year-old Deborah Gratz of Hollister put an unknown substance into some of the toddlers' drinking cups Friday, according to California's KTVU News.
Gratz is accused of putting over-the-counter sleeping aid Sominex in the sippy cups.Investigators searched the teacher's home on Monday and found evidence related to the case immediately leading to her arrest.
She faces felony charges of child endangerment and remains in the Santa Clara County main jail.
