European Economics Preview: Germany Industrial Output Data Due

Industrial production from Germany is the major data due on Monday, headlining a light day for the European economic news.

At 3.00 am ET, the Czech Statistical Office is set to issue industrial and construction output figures and trade data for February. Economists forecast industrial output to fall 5 percent year-on-year, after easing 4.1 percent in January.

In the meantime, Turkey's industrial production and Hungary trade reports are due. The Hungary's trade surplus is seen at EUR 712.8 million in February compared to EUR 316.2 million in the previous month.

At 3.15 am ET, the Federal Statistical Office is set to release Swiss industrial production data for the fourth quarter. Output was down 4.3 percent sequentially in the third quarter.

Statistics Norway is slated to release industrial output figures at 4.00 am ET.

At 4.30 am ET, the Eurozone sentix indicator is due. The index is expected to ease to -12.8 in April from -10.6 in March.

At 6.00 am ET, the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology is scheduled to issue industrial production data for February. German industrial output is expected to rise 0.2 percent month-on-month, after staying flat in January.
