Iceland's regular hours earnings rose at a slower pace in March, the latest figures published by Statistics Iceland showed Tuesday.
The monthly wage index rose 1.3 percent month-on-month in March, compared with 2.3 percent increase in the previous month.
In the last twelve months, the monthly wage index recorded an increase of 5.5 percent compared to the same period last year.
Real wages increased 1.1 percent from the previous month. In the last twelve months, the real wage index rose 1.5 percent.
The statistical office said that a collective agreement signed by the Minister of Finance and labor unions in June 2011 stipulates a general wage rise of 3.25 percent in March 2013.
