Indonesia's consumer price inflation weakened in April, data released by Statistics Indonesia showed Wednesday.
The consumer price index increased 5.57 percent on an annual basis in April, slower than the 5.9 percent gain seen in March.
Food prices climbed 11.91 percent from a year earlier, and costs of housing and utilities advanced 4.12 percent. There was a 1.56 percent rise in textile and clothing prices, and a 1.67 percent increase in transportation, communication and financial service expenses.
Consumer prices edged down 0.1 percent compared to March, when they recorded a 0.63 percent increase, data showed.
