Rumors are swirling that former American Idol contestant Brittany Kerr is to blame for Jason Aldean's recent divorce filing, as the two were photographed kissing in a Los Angeles club in October of last year.
Kerr's mother however, does not believe those rumors. "Brittany is not responsible for any breakup," Debbie Kerr told WetPaint.com.
She added that any rumor to the contrary is "simply not true," and that her daughter is single, does not live in L.A. anymore, and "was never with that married man."
TMZ reports that Aldean called Kerr after deciding to file for divorce from his wife of 12 years, warning her about the media frenzy that would ensue after the news broke. The Idol contestant shut down all her social media pages in preparation for the media firestorm, reports say.
