Janelle Monae has teamed up with Erykah Badu for her new music video "Q.U.E.E.N.," a clip directed by Alan Ferguson.
For the vid, Monae sheds her usual tuxedo for a black-and-white dress, high heels, and tights, while her accomplice Badu enjoys a walk with a poodle.
"I just love her. We call each other twins. I talk to her on the phone at least three or four times a week," Monae tells RapUp of her BFF. "It was really inspired by our private conversation, dialogue that she and I have and continue to have. She's a strong woman, she's an electric lady, she's somebody that I look up to."
"Q.U.E.E.N." will appear on Monae's upcoming album The Electric Lady, due this summer.
