Wyeth To Pay 170% Dividend For FY13

Wyeth Ltd. said its board had recommended a dividend of 170 percent or Rs.17.00 per equity share of Rs.10 each for the fiscal year 2013.

The said dividend, if approved by the shareholders at the Animal General Meeting, will be paid on September 12, 2013, the company said.

The company's fourth-quarter-quarter net profit fell by 19 percent to Rs.35.18 crore from the Rs.43.65 crore reported in Q4FY12.

Its quarterly net income rose by 13 percent to Rs.172.39 crore from the Rs.152.14 crore in the year-ago quarter, while other operating income stood at Rs.9.47 crore, compared with Rs.1.10 crore in Q4FY12.

For the fiscal year, the company reported stand-alone net profit of Rs.130.06 core, down by ten percent from the Rs.144.69 core for the year ended March 31, 2012. Total net income, including other operating income, totaled Rs.678.34. crore, higher by 15 percent than the Rs.588.53 crore in 2012.

At the BSE, Wyeth closed Tuesday's trading at Rs.827.10, down 0.27 percent from the previous close.
