Savannah Guthrie announced her engagement to Mike Feldman on the "Today" show on Monday. The lucky guy popped the question on Mother's Day and got a hearty thanks from Guthrie's co-host Matt Lauer on the program the next day.
"Good for you and congratulations to Mr. Feldman. He's a great guy."
Guthrie added that the two have been together so long that it wasn't a rash decision:
"We've been together four years, so, as he said, no one will accuse us of rushing into anything."
According to People magazine, the ring, purchased from a Philadelphia jeweler, features a round solitaire diamond in a classic platinum setting with pave diamonds in the band.
With regards to the big day Feldman added that it would be "as soon as possible."
