Stobart Group FY Pre-tax Profit Up

Stobart Group Limited (STOB.L), which engages in multimodal logistics, warehousing, biomass fuel, property development, port, airport, and civil engineering businesses, Thursday reported pre-tax profit of 36.03 million pounds for the full year, an increase from 29.17 million pounds recorded last year.

The company reported profit from continuing operations of 30.93 million pounds, compared with 27.73 million pounds during the previous year. Earnings per share from the continuing operations were 8.98 pence per share, compared with 8.52 pence per share. Loss from discontinued operation, net of tax, was13.40 million pounds, compared with 0.27 million pounds last year.

Profit for the year was 17.52 million pounds, down from prior year's 27.45 million pounds. On a per share basis, the company reported earnings of 5.09 pence per share, compared with 8.43 pence per share last year.

Revenues from the continuing operations was 572.4 million pounds, an increase from the previous year's revenue of 491.6 million pounds.

Further, the Board proposed a final dividend of 4 pence payable on July 5, bringing the total dividend for the year to 6 pence.
