The New Zealand dollar that advanced to a session's high of 0.8161 against the US dollar at the beginning of Monday's North American session erased some of its gains shortly.
The kiwi reached as low as 0.8136 against the greenback before holding steady around 0.8140 at about 10:00 am ET. The near-term support for the kiwi-buck pair is visible around the 0.8120 area.
