At 2:00 am ET Tuesday, Destatis is scheduled to release Germany's producer price figures. Economists forecast producer price inflation to ease to 0.2 percent in April from 0.4 percent in March.
Ahead of the data, the euro held steady against other major currencies.
As of 1:55 am ET, the euro traded at 1.2889 against the greenback, 0.8449 against the pound, 1.2480 against the franc and 132.08 against the yen.
