UK Mail Group Plc, (UKM.L), an operator of independent parcel, mail, and logistics services, Wednesday reported an increase in pre-tax profit for the full year, on higher revenues.
For the year, the Group reported pre-tax profit of 17.8 million pounds, a 37 percent increase from last year's 12.9 million pounds.
After tax, the profit increased to 13.5 million pounds, from 9.4 million pounds last year. Earnings per share for the year increased to 24.6 pence per share, from 17.3 pence per share reported a year ago.
Group Revenues for the year were 475.4 million pounds compared with 429 million pounds during the previous year. Mail revenues rose up 16.1 percent to 241.6 million, while parcels revenues increased 10 percent to 189.3 million pounds.
The company also raised final dividend by 0.6 pence to 12.4 pence from 11.8 pence. Thus the total dividend for the year would be 18.8 pence compared with 18.2 pence last year. The final dividend is payable on July 26 to shareholders of record on June 28.
