Authorities in McKeesport, Pennsylvania have arrested a man they believe may have committed two bank robberies in as many weeks. Both robberies occurred at the same Huntington Bank branch and 24-year-old Jesse Lumberger is currently in custody, reports the Pittsburgh Post Gazette.
Thus far Lumberger has only been charged with a robbery at the bank on Monday, but McKeesport police Capt. Tim Hanna tells the Post Gazette the thief in a previous crime used similar tactics. The suspect has been charged with robbery, theft by unlawful taking, two counts of terroristic threats, six counts of recklessly endangering another person and possession of an instrument of crime.
Lumberger reportedly robbed the bank on the 1400 block of Fifth Avenue in McKeesport on Monday around 10 am making off with $3,700 in cash. Police quickly recovered the money hidden under a nearby vehicle and found the suspect in a wooded area shortly after that, according to the Post Gazette.
