Ramon Conchas-Escobedo, an Asheboro, North Carolina man, attempted to bust through a police blockade, hitting three officers and four vehicles. Local news source WFMY reports that police had received a tip that Conchas-Escobedo was transporting drugs and set up a road block to stop him.
As he approached the road block, the suspect sped up, striking four police cars, including one head-on. The three officers hit suffered minor injuries but are expected to fully recover.
Conchas-Escobedo then fled but was tracked down by a K-9 squad. Officers also discovered two kilos of cocaine in his truck.
According to My Fox 8, the 33-year-old faces multiple felony charges including assault on a law enforcement officer. He was jailed on a $1,000,000 bond.
The News & Record writes that Conchas-Escobedo is due back in court on June 13.
