Las Vegas County Official Arrested For Soliciting Child Prostitute

Authorities in Nevada have arrested a Clark County manager and charged him with a felony on Saturday after he allegedly solicited an underage prostitute.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports that Donald Coburn, 46, who was worked for the county for the last 16 years, was arrested Saturday on charges related to soliciting or engaging in child prostitution.

Back in 1992, when Coburn worked for the sheriff's office, Coburn was arrested and pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges of furnishing alcohol to a minor and annoying a minor. The charges resulted in him being sentenced to probation.

Coburn has spent the last year as head of animal control and code enforcement in the county and was placed on leave on Tuesday and will be able to use vacation time to cover his absence while the criminal case against him is investigated.

A more formal decision is expected to be made about Coburn's employment status pending the outcome of the investigation.
