Pearl Jam sent a message of good tidings to former basketball star, Mookie Blaylock, who was injured in a car crash late last week.
Before the band released their debut album Ten, they were named after the baller. The name of the album itself comes from Mookie's jersey number.
"I was a huge Mookie fan," Jeff Ament, Pearl Jam's bassist, told the New York Times. "He was really unselfish; great shooter; great fundamentals." Ament added that Mookie's "superunique name" was also a factor.
In addition to getting regular updates on Mookie's condition, Pearl Jam's members have posted a get well message on Instagram, along with a photo of an old PJ t-shirt that featured Mookie's image on it.
Blaylock was injured when his SUV swerved into oncoming traffic and struck another vehicle.
