Kelly Clarkson couldn't have picked a better place to debut as a country singer than the 2013 CMA Music Festival.

Clarkson, sporting shoulder length blonde hair and a red mini-dress, said she was starting the country music phase of her music career on the wrong foot as she forgot to wear her engagement ring. She apologized repeatedly to fiancé Brandon Blackstock from the stage.

"This is my first official set at a country . . . thing," Clarkson said during her set. "I've been nervous all day because I wanted to be good for you!"

In addition to some of her chart topping hits like "Stronger" and "Because Of You," Clarkson wowed the crowd with a few surprises, including performing "Don't You Wanna Stay" alongside Jason Aldean, and teaming with Trisha Yearwood for Garth Brook's "Ain't Goin' Down ('Til the Sun Comes Up)."
