Amy Poehler recently opened up about her love for the fiction of Judy Blume. Speaking with Vulture, Poehler praised the decision of producers to adapt Blume's 1981 novel "Tiger Eyes" to the big screen:
"I am excited to see Judy Blume's new movie, because she is a very special lady, and more movies should be produced with her name. Or she should just sit and read her books aloud and we should just gather at her feet."
When asked whether she would like to work on a project with the author, Poehler didn't hesitate:
"Oh, anytime. I would love to work with her. She [wrote] the books of my generation, certainly. I learned a lot from her."
Poehler added that "Super Fudge" and "Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret" were two Blume books she'd like to see adapted for film.
