Beyoncé has settled a lawsuit with a New York City-based video game developer who sued for $100 million after Bey backed out of a deal to make an interactive video game. The company, called Gate Five, claimed that Bey's departure caused them to lay off 70 workers and lose millions invested in the project.
According to the New York Daily News, the terms of the settlement have not been made public. Lawyers for the mega-star fought the lawsuit, however, claiming that she was entitled to walk from the deal after Gate Five lost support from early financial backers.
A new group of financiers entered the project but requested that Beyoncé relinquish her 40 percent ownership stake in the video game franchise.
Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Charles Ramos made an initial ruling in February, stating that Gate Five's lawyers could legally interview all of her employees involved in the deal.
