A Florida man was left in serious medical condition earlier this week after he was attacked while on a first date with a woman he knew only as "Tree."
Shaun Williams, 34, of Holly Hill, claims he was hit in the head several times with a metal object after the woman turned up for the date with two unknown men in her car, according to the Daytona Beach News-Journal.
According to a police report, Williams had initially met the woman at a convenience store where they exchanged numbers and made plans for a date. They met at the same store several days later, when the mystery woman claimed the men in her car were relatives that she intended to drop off.
"I should have known better when I see two other individuals in the car," Williams told the News-Journal.
Williams was later discovered on a rural road nearby where he had been stripped and robbed, according to the News-Journal.
"I was going to take the girl on a nice dinner, trying to be a nice guy and next thing I know, I got beat up over a couple dollars," Williams added.
