New Britain Palm Oil Ltd. (NBPO.L), a Papua New Guinea-based producer of palm oil, noted the announcement by Kulim (Malaysia) Berhad, the company's largest shareholder.
In a statement to the Bursa Malaysia, Kulim said it intends to make a conditional partial cash offer for up to 30,009,621 shares in NBPOL, representing 20.0% of the total ordinary shares outstanding in NBPOL. The partial offer would be made at 5.50 pounds per share, and it values the entire existing issued ordinary share capital of NBPOL at around 825 million pounds.
