The Labor Department is scheduled to release its jobless claims report for the week ended June 15th at 8:30 am ET. Economists expect claims to rise to 340,000 from 334,000 in the week ended June 8th.
The dollar held steady against its major rivals ahead of the report. As of 8:25 am ET, the greenback was trading at 1.32 against the euro, 97.80 against the yen and 1.5450 against the pound.
