European Economics Preview: Eurozone Inflation Data Due

Consumer price inflation from euro area and retail sales from Germany are due on Monday, headlining a busy day for the European economic news.

At 2.00 am ET, Destatis is slated to issue German retail sales data for August. Economists forecast sales to grow 0.7 percent month-on-month, following a 0.5 percent fall in July.

At 2.45 am ET, French producer prices are due.

At 3.00 am ET, Hungary's producer prices and Turkey's trade figures are due. Hungary's producer price inflation is seen at 2.1 percent in August, up from 1.3 percent in July.

At 4.00 am ET, Italy's statistical office is scheduled to issue producer prices for August. In the meantime, Norway's retail sales data is also due.

Half an hour later, Bank of England is set to publish mortgage approvals data for August. Economists expect approvals to rise to 61,000 from 60,600 in July.

At 5.00 am ET, Eurostat is slated to publish flash consumer prices for September. EU harmonized inflation is seen at 1.2 percent, marginally below August's 1.3 percent.
