Kerry To Embark On 3-Nation European Trip Next Week

US Secretary of State John Kerry will travel to Paris, London, and Rome on October 21-24, the State Department said in a press release on Thursday.

While in Paris, Kerry will meet with representatives of the Arab League's Arab Peace Initiative Follow-up Committee to update them on the Israeli-Palestinian negotiations as part of his continued engagement with Washington's Arab League partners on the issue.

In addition, Kerry will also meet Saudi Foreign Minister Saud al-Faisal in Paris to discuss bilateral and international issues.

Kerry will then participate in the London 11 ministerial meeting with key international partners and Syrian Coalition leadership to review progress towards convening the Geneva Conference on Syria.

Finally, he will fly to Rome to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to discuss ongoing final status negotiations with the Palestinians, Iran, Syria, and other issues of mutual concern.

"In each capital, the Secretary will meet with senior government officials. Details of these meetings are still being finalized," the State Department press release concluded.
