Lauryn Hill Narrates Sundance Documentary Concerning Violence

Lauryn Hill is the narrator of Swedish filmmaker Göran Hugo Olsson's doc, Concerning Violence. The film, set to debut at the Sundance Film Festival this month, explores the African lib movements of the 60s and 70s.

Olsson's previous work includes The Black Power Mixtape 1967-1975, which centered on the Black Power movement as seen by Swedish journalists.

The 2014 Sundance Film Festival is scheduled for January 16-26. Concerning Violence screens Friday, January 17 at 3 PM at the Yarrow Hotel Theater as a part of the World Documentary program.

Hill, meanwhile, hits the road on January 26 to continue her Homecoming Series tour. She is also working on her new project Letters From Exile, due later this year on her label Obverse Creation Music.
