The pace of decline in Italy's retail sales quickened in October, figures from the statistical office Istat showed Tuesday.
Retail sales dropped 0.8 percent year-on-year in October, faster than September's 0.6 percent decline. This was the sixth consecutive decline.
Food sales fell 0.5 percent and non-food sales dropped 1 percent in October.
On a monthly basis, retail sales remained flat in October, the same as in September. Both food and non-food were unchanged over the month in October.
