Regal-Beloit Corp Earnings Drop 11% In Q3

Regal-Beloit Corp (RBC) announced a profit for third quarter that retreated compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line declined to $89.7 million, or $1.31 per share. This was down from $101.3 million, or $1.43 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.25 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 8.2% to $809.6 million. This was down from $882.3 million last year.
