ScanSource Inc. Reveals Rise In Q2 Earnings

ScanSource Inc. (SCSC) reported a profit for its second quarter that rose compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line came in at $23.0 million, or $0.90 per share. This was up from $19.1 million, or $0.75 per share, in last year's second quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.91 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 14.4% to $1.03 billion. This was up from $0.90 billion last year.
