Vail Resorts Posting Significant Gain On Upbeat Q2 Results

Shares of Vail Resorts (MTN) are seeing significant strength during trading on Thursday, extending a recent upward trend. Vail Resorts is currently up by 6.3 percent after reaching its best intraday level in over a month.

The jump by Vail Resorts comes after the ski resort operator reported fiscal second quarter results that beat analyst estimates on both the top and bottom lines.

Japanese cryptocurrency exchange Taotao, which is backed by Yahoo! Japan, will reportedly start trading services in May. Taotao, formerly BitARG Exchange, will initially trade two cryptocurrencies, Bitcoin and Ethereum. In addition, it will introduce margin positions for three more cryptocurrencies including Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash and Ripple. Viacom Inc. and AT&T Inc. said Monday they have reached a new carriage deal, averting a programming blackout that would have left AT&T's more than 24 million pay-TV customers without Viacom channels such as MTV, Comedy Central, Paramount and Nickelodeon. The renewed agreement will keep these Viacom channels on AT&T's DirectTV and U-verse pay TV services. Tribe, a blockchain accelerator backed by Singapore government, announced its partnership with BMW Group Asia, Intel and Nielsen. Tribe Accelerator said the three companies will share their knowledge and subject expertise in their respective fields with Tribe's startups. The companies will help build an inclusive ecosystem "ready for industry 4.0."
